We are able to get pioneer astronauts to our shop for private, mail-in signings (no visitors) because of our unequaled reach into the autograph market. In order to perform a private signing as flawlessly as we do (read our testimonials) we must pay extreme attention to every detail: what, how, where, what color to sign, as well as returning hundreds of orders promptly and accurately.
Each mailed-in, custom-signed item includes a free, printed Certificate of Authenticity (COA) noting the date it was signed (but no description of the item). If you want more authentication, you can add a digital Photo of Authenticity (POA), showing the astronaut holding YOUR signed item, emailed to you about 3 to 4 weeks after the event.
Frank Borman Private Signing!
Gemini 7 and Apollo 8 mission commander Frank Borman is coming back to Novaspace.com in Tucson. He will sign your mailed-in items privately at our office in late September. Deadline for receiving all orders is Friday, September 4, 2018.
Col. Borman is a “cold warrior.” His goal was to beat the Soviet Union to the moon. He didn’t care about the science or glory; his overriding concern was winning. After the Apollo 1 fire threatened to halt the program, his testimony before Congress saved the program. He became the Manager of the Apollo redesign team, showing the type of style that would land him as the CEO of Eastern Airlines later. The spacecraft was completely re-engineered in a little over a year. Borman was rewarded by personally beating the Soviets to the moon.
It’s easy! Simply decide what and how you want your item signed, fill in the order form, send it to us by the deadline, and we’ll return your goods with a fresh, authentic signature and a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

“The Hatchling” is the name Mike Collins gave to this huge photo of the Apollo 11 hatch, redesigned after the Apollo 1 fire. Part of the reason for the loss of the crew involved the cumbersome, inward-opening hatch. This one opens outward, and despite it’s apparent complexity, opens quickly. Frank Borman helped with the redesign. Removed before the capsule was put on display, Mike commissioned a large-format photo of it while he was director of the National Air & Space Museum. Mike wanted it reproduced FULL SIZE, so here it is as a laminated giclee, with 4-8″ of black on either side–plenty of room to collect Apollo autographs. 30″x45″. It can be transported in its stout shipping tube. Lamination avoids fingerprints, dents, and is a superb writing surface.
